not technically a monday (the golden glow)

it's not technically a monday (but it feels like it). in a bit horsemouth goes to work (probably one of the last jobs for the (academic) year).

as usual when work finishes he will feel the loss of structure.

sunday musical endeavour (of which horsemouth is very proud). on his way back he paused to chat with piotr (one of the neighbours opposite) who showed him the chords for kalinka.  he's often out smoking in the front garden of the house opposite of an evening, if horsemouth is out he will wave over.  it's the classic story of polish immigration, he has a qualification in precision engineering but because he came before poland was in the EU there was no academic equivalence and he ended up doing building work. now he has a job on the railways.

yesterday a rainy dull day when horsemouth couldn't get much done.

while horsemouth has been slacking off and resting on his laurels howard is busy at work crafting a new golden glow mix (more news soon). as horsemouth likes to point out golden glow is the name of the beer in a number of philip k. dick novels.

horsemouth has been considering his next golden glow guest mix (if there is one, howard was suggesting that there might be). howard lies in ambient, music he can work to. horsemouth was thinking the following

steve hillage - garden of paradise

tudor lodge - willow tree

robbie basho -mehera

jackson c. frank - tumble in the wind

the heath brothers - smiling billy suite (part II)

fred neil - just a little bit of rain (live)

alice coltrane - sita ram

and maybe feio by miles davis.

anyway tomorrow the birth of marx/ the death of the reverend gary davis, thursday the local and mayoral elections, bandcamp friday.
