a walk up the cat's back

because of the 53 week year that we are about to enter on the monday this will be the last day of the 52 week year we are leaving. 2020(4) began on monday the first of january and it's 52 weeks will finish sunday the 29th of december.

then the new (accountancy) year will begin.

2020(4) was helped in this by being a leap year (a year with an extra day). 2020(5) will thus start two days early (rather than the usual one) and then with a WTF from january the 1st it will poach a few days from 2020(6) to get it up to the required 53 times 7 days.  being a typical year 2020(6) will start on a thursday (horsemouth guesses).

now a 53 week year is good news for the communal endeavour - one week more than usual's rent money in for the same 12 months of expenses.

it is (of course) slightly crazy that the communal endeavour still charges rent weekly rather than monthly (but who is horsemouth to interfere with a legacy system).

in the new year what he really wants to get on with is the decarbonisation.

the next deadline is the first mancom of january really. it is unlikely that the government (via DESNZ) will have replied yet but horsemouth would like  to feel confident that the communal endeavour have the information they will need so they can go ahead with the project.

and it is important to understand that the getting properties to an EPC C is not really decarbonisation (because the heating is still being performed with gas) but helps more with fuel poverty and health promotion.

horsemouth has climbed up the cat's back with his brother's family. he is now officially knackered. he has retreated to have a lie down while life goes on elsewhere. he climbed the cat's back once before with richard and stass (but that was a long time ago).
