it is nearly time to move on to new things

so this is it horsemouth's last full day in hackney as a resident. (boo-hoo)

he is sad to go. his friends are here and he has spent 40 years in this town (give or take a few months here and there).  he moved to hackney (this time) 9 years ago (but he has been away most of the last 2 years).

but it is time (or nearly time) to move on to new things.

horsemouth has stripped down his room to the point where the white walls he painted nine years ago are visible. he has given away most of his bookshelves. the raised bed base was made (so it can be unmade). he leaves behind a folding side table in dark wood, one of those vintage indian/ moroccan (variously described) low coffee tables, a chair (also in dark wood) and the world's least space effective CD storage cupboard.

the shelves that daryl screwed to the wall are still up.

various things horsemouth has hidden in the back room.

in some ways he has done his work too well and given away/ chucked out too much stuff to give himself anything to do on the last day (and in some ways he has failed to do this).

the stuff that horsemouth is taking (books and records mostly) sits out in the corridor waiting for d-day (monday).

he has a plan for the day but he is not sure it is suitable (but it can be re-arranged).
