IT'S CHRISTMASSS!!!
sorry that was a bit uncharacteristic of him
horsemouth is usually all lower case and moderate like...
'long ago (before the earth was born)...'
here's robbie basho being himself (properly mental)
if you were compiling a musicians of bremen mixtape/ compilation/ sampler album what tracks would you have on it?
(asking for a friend)
horsemouth reckons he would want to see sorrows of tomorrow / noah / amarach for definite, other than that he would be content to reply upon other people's judgement.
here we have a track each from volumes one, two and four. horsemouth would probably pick humming as his 'left-field' pick, though in some ways on the banks of the susquehanna (from volume three) might be a better pick.
the point (in some ways) is to show the particular flavour of the combination of talents of the musicians of bremen on one hand and on the other hand to celebrate their disparities.
wonky would be good to get on. horsemouth has always liked that track (despite not featuring on it).
could this choice of tracks recontextualise the musicians of bremen? enable them to see their work afresh?
e plur1bus (unum)
'for once priceless moment all the people of the earth are truly one...'
- president richard nixon upon the occasion of the moon landing.
so plur1bus seems to be over (for now). the set up for the second series has been achieved.
it's christmas eve horsemouth is hiding out waiting for the start of the a ghost story for christmas. he's just watched it - it was very good. a strange mixture of brief encounter and robert aickman.
he has finished the first story sir edmund orme, he is just preparing for the second owen wingrave. ah henry james knew edmond goncourt (horsemouth will have to look him up in the goncourt journals).
and now it is christmas morning. horsemouth has been out to the chickens and has his cup of coffee. it is clear skies mostly with some drifting cloud.
