here comes the rain again (the house much less in his affections)

horsemouth has just been over to sunny ewyas harold  to pick up this and that.

he's got back and it has started raining.

he's in a grumpy mood. the house in the wen electrics situation is not improving  but is going backwards instead. now it looks like the street will have to be dug up and, while someone else is paying for it directly, it's a faff.

no one wants to be working on 30A of live juice before breakfast in a tiny corridor with a wooden box round it (horsemouth gets it).

horsemouth doesn't fancy it himself and so he gets that people may want safer working conditions (but someone's got to do it sometime some where along the line).

horsemouth plans on taking his name off the account and washing his hands of it. if it was going to be straightforward he'd hang out for his share of the compensation (if there is any) but seeing as it isn't he won't.

it occurs to horsemouth that his won't be the only house ever to have been fitted with a company head fuse with asbestos insulation (this is not a bespoke product these things must have been mass produced and fitted widely), but if this is the length of time and amount of faff it takes to fix it then this does not bode well for the future.

all this faff to get a smart meter (well to replace the existing meter which may be becoming inaccurate).

anyway - soon horsemouth is free.

------------------------------------------

the house has been much less in his affections since the bushes in the front garden were cut down and the entire of the front garden covered over with builders waste (and not for the first time).

that was probably the final straw. (as it was on previous occasions)

similarly horsemouth would have liked to have had a functioning front room (again)  and a functioning back garden (again). again he would have liked more functioning worksurface in the kitchen and less congealed grease stuck to things.

he would have liked a more general effort to keep the place cleaner and tidier.

none of this has ever happened or is ever going to happen so the thing to do is to bail.

-------------------------------------------

truthfully horsemouth is looking at saving the rent money and saving the gas and electric money. he hopes that this will assist with his managed decline towards his pension.

hopefully horsemouth has done his revolutionary duty with some electronic doo-dad thing. and hopefully what comes out of that is in all ways good.

pointlessly horsemouth has just been having one of those pointless online rows.
