as sure as eggs is eggs (and did those feet...)

so how is herzog doing? how's his walk going?

'sunday bells from several villages in the fog all at once.' - 9am sunday 24th november 1974

he is in angerhof (he has lost his way).

'a brief rest near schoengeising'

he stops in wildenroth at the tavern. it's about 30km west of munich he's not doing too badly.

'a cold mist rises from the ploughed, broken fields...'

the question - where to sleep?

'night, near beuerbach in a barn.'

he worries about crossing the river lech but when you look on a map you can see he needn't have worried. head west. zoom into the map. the placenames will begin to appear.

so how is horsemouth doing?

well sunday evening he had a zoom call with howard who was painting away and drinking tea (it being a sunday before a working day, them having failed to meet up on saturday). afterwards horsemouth had a sneaky bottle of beer (which probably wasn't a wise idea but hey).  in the day he went off delivering eggs (he even got a lift a little way up the hill).

plenty of people have it worse than horsemouth.

hmm he's agreed to unblock some gutters (and he doesn't like being up ladders).

next saturday howard is working with his students - it being exam season. we move into the run up (or is that down) to the winter solstice .
