round about this time next year horsemouth should be writing his 3000 blogpost (assuming he keeps it going).
random book off the shelves
the seasons - ralph wightman (country bookclub1954 - probably from horsemouth's father's parent's collection, it's the sort of book they'd have had) decorated by s.r. badmin (mostly known for his work upon the shell guides).wightman was a well enough known radio commentator on agricultural matters to have been lampooned at the time by kenneth williams (as arthur fallowfield with a catch-phrase of 'the answer lies in the soil').
there's a note in pencil on the end pages of the book 'jany 1967 worth a further reading' possibly horsemouth's dad or horsemouth's granny.
