the above clip

flooding
videos - water flowing down the road in ewyas harold and across the road by abbeydore court. the real issue is the catchment - the amount of land that the rain lands on up in the hills and then it floods down the dore and dulas and ecsley rivers to the monnow.
in ewyas harold the water is down from its peak (allegedly). that said it has just started raining again heavily. (and just as soon as it came again it went away). it has stopped raining now (we have a day off but then it will start again).
that the world continues to be terrible
horsemouth continues to be anxious. (the less he does the more anxious he gets).
a five year old girl and her mother are deported to honduras from texas - the five year old is a US citizen because she was born there and so will go back to the US and live with her relatives until the mother can rejoin them (if ever).
net result of this extradition activity (hotels, lawyers, flights) - there's a cleaner's job to fill.
but look at it on the larger scale - a third of a million people have been detained, roughly 60,000 are currently in detention, a third of a million extradited and all these figures are increasing. 32 people died in ICE detention in 2025, the 2026 figure will almost certainly be higher.
the purpose of this is to terrorise immigrant communities and show performative cruelty and (like the murders by ICE of protesting US citizens) it has a second purpose in normalising this kind of activity.
temporarily trump seems to have backed down (TACO) but again this is just a matter of preparing the ground for the next outrage. trump is a cautious would be tyrant relying on his taking back and forth to hide his eventual destination (tyranny).
but maybe trump is too old already and he'll just have to pass the work on.
a colder morning. the sun just making it over the horizon.
